Neonatal Lupus Erythematosus: A Case Report and Review of the Literature

Neonatal lupus erythematosus (NLE) is a rare autoimmune condition caused by transplacental passage of maternal IgG autoantibodies to the fetus. It often presents with erythematous annular lesions on scalp and periorbital area that appear after exposure sunlight. Clinicians should be aware broad manifestations neonatal erythematosus, including cutaneous, cardiac, hematologic, hepatic neurological manifestations. We present case cutaneous central nervous system findings perform literature review subject.
